The Adhelight™ technology enables the otherwise contradicting combinations of secure fixation, easy removal and removal without adhesive residuals. 

The technology works with a cross-linking process resulting in the Adhelight™ adhesive going from an sticky state to a non-sticky state when exposed to light.

Lumina Adhesives works with a unique and patented technology platform of pressure sensitive adhesives. The adhesives maintain a strong fixation as long as required but when exposed to light they lose most of its adhesive force.The reduction in adhesion (the switch) is illustrated by the peel force graph above.The adhesion is very strong to begin with but after 15 seconds the adhesive gets exposed to light which makes it lose most of its force after just a few seconds.

The technology, Adhelight™, is flexible for adjusting adhesive characteristics such as adhesive strength, cohesive strength, MVTR etc. and can be optimized to suit most applications.

Adhelight™ has been developed for medical skin products, one of the toughest adhesive applications, and is thus a robust and rigorously tested technology platform.
